Courtney Slazinic is an American mother who, starting around 10 years ago, basically taught herself how to take great pictures with a DSLR starting from scratch. She has built up a large collection of tutorials, some of which are aimed at absolute beginners ("getting off auto"),others useful for more advanced photographers and information about setting up a photography business. What she is undoubtedly good at is taking excellent pictures of her family and friends' children.
Courtney has recently sent out an email which includes a link to a list of over 100 tutorials. The relevant bit of the email is -
